C.A.N. is a non profit organization whose purpose is to bring under control the population of stray cats in Nicosia district. This can be done only by neutering stray cats in order to provide them with a better and prolonged life.

C.A.N. (Cat Alert Nicosia) Association was established in June 2018 with the initiative of a group of volunteers and friends of stray cats in Nicosia district whose main target is large scale organized and systematic neutering of cats.

Neutering is the most simple and relatively painless method to control the overpopulation of cats.
